-Provide indoor localization around you-
Laketec Indoor a real-time locating system (RTLS) designed for tracking active
Wi-Fi-enabled devices inside buildings.
How it Works
The system was designed to work on mobile apps.
The specific thing about this technology is that creation and download of the building map is
required, if necessary with floor determination. In the premise Wifi is required both for creating the map and establishing location.
WLAN positioning refers to the process of locating mobile network devices, such as laptops or personal digital assistants, using a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) infrastructure.
Positioning is carried out by exploiting the dependency between the location of a mobile device (MD) and characteristics of signals transmitted between the MD and a set of WLAN access points (APs).
Data acquired are generally:
Time of Arrival (ToA)
Time Difference of Arrival (TDoA)
Angle of Arrival (AoA)
Received Signal Strength (RSS)
Our solution was developed around Meraki's CMX (Connected Mobile Experiences) that includes a number of features designed to provide information on visitor traffic and tools for guest engagement over Wi-Fi.
The key CMX capabilities are divided into the following areas:
Detect - understanding visitor foot traffic and trends by leveraging Wi-Fi as a platform for analytics
Connect - providing secure wireless access to users
Engage - tools for engaging with end-users using captive portal systems or mobile applications
